Grandpa Frederick Drumf, later Trump, emigrated from his native Germany to avoid military service:, CNN skates around the issue:
Donald Trump's grandfather was kicked out of his native Germany for failing to do his mandatory military service there, a historian has claimed.
A local council letter from 1905 informed Friedrich Trump -- who had become a United States citizen -- that he would not be granted his German citizenship back and that he had eight weeks to leave the country or be deported, German historian Roland Paul told CNN Tuesday.
He also claimed that Trump had illegally left Germany, failing to notify authorities of his plan to immigrate.
I am inclined to believe that old Grandpa Frederick Trump was a self-serving SOB who would be a draft dodger. And, I think CNN was fudging history by trying to discredit German historian Roland Paul.
I’ll go with the Guardian version:
Friedrich Trump, a German, was issued with the document in February 1905, and ordered to leave the kingdom of Bavaria within eight weeks as punishment for having failed to do mandatory military service and failing to give authorities notice of his departure to the US when he first emigrated in 1885:
Roland Paul, a historian from Rhineland-Palatinate who found the document in local archives, told the tabloid Bild: “Friedrich Trump emigrated from Germany to the USA in 1885. However, he failed to de-register from his homeland and had not carried out his military service, which is why the authorities rejected his attempt at repatriation.”

I especially love this headline from the UK’s Daily Mail:
How Donald Trump's tax-dodging migrant grandpa went from cutting hair to building an empire of brothels where customers could pay in gold dust or nuggets

Seems to be some sort of genetic flaw regarding how women are treated in the Trump Family as well: women as commodities, arm candy, decorative.
Frankly, I wouldn’t be too proud of family wealth built on the labor of prostitutes.
Donald’s father, Fred, also did not serve in the military but it could be argued that he had family obligations:
Father Fred was born in 1905. At the time of World War II and the imposition of a draft in 1940, at age 35 he was married and had 2 small children. He was subject to the draft. He was not engaged in any occupation subject to service exemption, such as war related production, public health and safety jobs, or agricultural employment. In truth, even with the expansive induction criteria in 1942, he still would have been lower on the priority list of men to be drafted because of his marriage and 3 dependent children. By 1943 he would have aged out of the high risk draft pool. He was subject to the draft in World War II, but was never called to serve.

All the Trumps were eligible for military service but it never served their self-interest to do so.
And, you can be very sure that none of the Trump kids will do one lick of labor in service to anyone but themselves.
