Senator Elizabeth Warren said today on CNN that she believes that the DNC was "rigged" in favor of former Hillary Clinton during the 2016 primary:
"We learned today from the former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile that the Clinton campaign in her view did rig the presidential nominating process by entering into an agreement to control day-to-day operations at the DNC," Tapper said, continuing on to describe specific arms of the DNC the Clinton camp had a say over, including strategy and staffing, noting that the agreement was "entered into in August of 2015," months before Clinton won the nomination.
Warren called that "a real problem."
"But what we've got to do as Democrats now, is we've got to hold this party accountable," Warren said.

Tapper then asked, "Do you agree with the notion that it was rigged?" And Warren responded simply: "Yes."
Sen. Warren called on Tom Perez to unify the party:
Warren said the allegations are a “real problem” and called on new DNC chairman Tom Perez to unite the party.
“When …Tom Perez was first elected chair of the DNC, the very first conversation I had with him [was] to say, you have got to put together a Democratic party in which everybody can have confidence that the party is working for Democrats, rather than Democrats are working for the party,” Warren said. “And he's being tested now.”
“This is a test for Tom Perez,” she continued. “Either he's going to succeed by bringing Bernie Sanders and Bernie Sanders' representatives into this process and they're going to say ‘it's fair, it works, we all believe it,’ or he's going to fail.”
The Hill: Warren agrees that 2016 Democratic primary was rigged for Clinton
Senator Warren is correct. It was wrong and needs to be fixed. There needs to be true unity, and you don’t get there by excluding Bernie folks from the DNC as Perez did recently.
People were attacked here last year for saying the DNC rigged the process. Well, the evidence is in. As Senator Warren says, it was rigged.
