#Impeach Music Monday
#TinyhandsMagoo is in Asia, tormenting the poor souls who must communicate with him for the next week plus, which means it’s time to celebrate why we #Resist the Evil Orange Cheetomeister. I can’t think of a single tune which describes the feeling of most Americans when it comes to Trump and the, now being floated in many ways, consideration of #impeachment.
I Can’t Get No Satisfaction
Words and music by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards
Because really, the news from the Special Counsel’s office is getting great, but the news from the Congress about the discussion of whether or not to begin discussion of impeachment?
Missing in Action — the US Congress on Impeachment
The only people asking why Congress isn’t asking about Impeachment are people like thee, and me and a venture capitalist with a liberal conscience and a progressive outlook.
Tom Steyer and www.NeedtoImpeach.com bring you this Public Service Announcement, which I took to heart and called my 4 term Republican member of Congress to ask her the question Tom posits in this video:
So, yes, I called my MoC and I signed Tom’s petition:
Donald Trump has brought us to the brink of nuclear war,
obstructed justice, and taken money from foreign governments.
We need to impeach this dangerous president.
Sign on now.
If you truly believe, as I do, that Donald John Trump is a clear and present danger to the Republic, you need to add your voice to those calling for impeachment. It’s your duty as a citizen of a Free Republic to repudiate a would-be Dictator.
What I did this weekend
Not a lot, had a migraine again. AGAIN. I never got these brain-fucker headaches when I was young, but my mom and two of my sisters did. One of them had to spend two days in a dark quiet room to get over it (in the early 1970s). I always thought they were exaggerating how painful and dibilitating a migraine was. What can I say, I was an idiot with no experience of the condition projecting what I thought the truth was about something I had no real clue about.
A lot like the people who report “news” which is nothing more than the fevered-dreams of an incoherant dimwit with delusions of importance. Ah, for the days when we had nationally respected newsmen, like Walter Cronkite, to turn to when seeking the truth of the matter…
I made homemade vegetable beef stew last night for dinner tonight and we’ll be sitting down to it in about another 30 mins, complete with a fresh loaf of sourdough to cut and spread with softened butter to dip. I love the smell of it cooking, thyme and garlic and onion and bay leaf all smothered in thick, beefy gravy. Yummy, and the perfect meal for a cool autumn evening.
How was your weekend?
