While I knew that BC had offspring, many of whom are black with varying degrees of white, I had never seen him in close proximity to his doppleganger. When I first arrived in September BC junior still looked like a kitten and behaved like one too. While his papa can jump the six foot gate with a single leap, at the time junior could not. His solution was to clamber half way up a small tree and leap across to the garden wall. The first attempt was a failure and he fell, but without a missing a beat he tried again and succeeded. Obviously guts runs in the family. Now unless I see them together, they look to be the same size. Junior is far shyer than his dad and I never really get the chance to examine him, in fact he could even be female, although he gives off a distinctly male vibe. One obvious difference is that he has sea foam green eyes as opposed to BC’s which are more yellow. He also doesn’t have that white patch on his chest.
I know that in the photograph below BC appears smaller than Junior in the above pic, but the latter is very heavily cropped while the former is untouched
I’m not getting much quality time with BC because Dots has now completely forgiven me, won’t leave my side and is jealous of the cat.
I’ve figured out how to get Dots to come outside, all I have to do is pretend I’m talking to another animal and out he bounds. He’s a twit, but a truly lovable one.
Now it’s your turn, please share what’s going on with the animals in your life.
One caveat when it comes to my diaries, if I suddenly disappear or if I don’t show up at all, it simply means that there has been a power cut and I have no internet. Hopefully that won’t happen, but if it ever does apologies.
