I’ve had a lot of sleepless nights lately so I cannot be 100% sure this is not a mere Fig Newton of my imagination…
But since Friday I have not been able to access CNN or MSNBC. And today when I tried to watch the #GOPTaxScam vote I could not reach C-SPAN or C-SPAN2.
I get the error message:
Sorry we’re having some trouble.
This program is not available at the moment.
Please select another program and try this one later.
and then it bounces back to whatever channel I was watching before.
I also found out while I was writing this diary that I can’t see Comedy Central or PBS either.
Those are most of my favorite channels!
I did a system refresh but it did not help.
I can still get all the sports channels, all the movie channels, all the broadcast network channels and basic cable channels, all the science channels, basically everything else.
But not MSNBC, CNN, PBS, Comedy Central, C-SPAN, or C-SPAN2.
Strangely, I can still get C-SPAN3—I have a lecture about Churchill on right now.
I’m not a tinfoil hat type but this is RFW and I can’t tell whether I am losing my mind or if it is just a strange coincidence that my news and information channels all disappeared within a day of the Net Neutrality vote.
It isn’t supposed to go into effect until early next year, so nothing should have happened this fast...
Is anyone else having this problem?
I live in Boston and get my internet/TV from Comcast.
If I am losing my mind, or if I get my channels back, I will let everyone know.
In the meantime, I am REALLY BUMMING OUT to miss Rachel for so many days. The audio podcast goes live on Stitcher just after midnight but it’s not the same…
Thank FSM I can still watch BBC America—#TenthDoctorBestDoctor
P.S. I tried to defeat the system by recording TRMS, but when I went in for playback I got this:
