Yesterday, in more than 100 cities in the US and more around the globe, millions, yes, MILLIONS, MILLIONS! (not “tens of thousands”) demonstrated.
600,000 filled the streets in Los Angeles alone. LAT has as it’s lead stories the “shutdown”, “bullet train costs”, “Grant Street construction project”.
Massive demonstrations in Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco...and the local papers did not run that there was a massive outpouring of Americans in response to
- outrages of sexual assault
- deportations
- active attempts to destroy our democracy
- horrific racism in the streets and in the White House
never made it above the fold except in Seattle.
wtf!
I checked out every Sunday morning show that I could and not one interview with a Womens March participant or organizer, or speaker! Really, MSNBC and CNN! You couldn’t book just the speakers from LA? Really? No Natalie Portman, no Viola Davis, no Scarlet Johansson, no Allison Janney?
Calling, writing, Tweeting, Instagramming (?) going to their offices and demanding they cover actual news is simply a continuation of the outpouring yesterday.
We cannot let them get away with this.
Please. Do all of the above.
