Donald Trump is failing at something 90 percent of American voters think is important in a president: being a good role model for children. According to 67 percent of the voters who answered the latest Quinnipiac poll, Trump is not a good role model for children. The real question, of course, is who are the 29 percent of voters who think Trump is a good role model. Ahem:
There is almost no gender gap in grading President Trump's standing as a role model. Every party, gender, education, age and racial group, except Republicans, say the president falls short, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds.
Republicans say 72 - 22 percent that Trump is a good role model for children. Another key element of the president's base, white voters with no college degree, say 54 - 41 percent that he is not a good role model for children.
So 72 percent of Republicans think children should look up to and seek to emulate an ignorant, belligerent, racist, justice-obstructing, repeat adulterer and serial groper who likes to talk about his own daughter’s hotness.
“What do you want for your children when they grow up?”
“I’d really like to see them paying six figures of hush money to an adult film star and firing top law enforcement officials investigating matters uncomfortably close to home.”
