Here in this exchange on Morning Joe they debate Frank Luntz who keeps trying to give Trump credit for not prat falling or drooling on his chin during last nights State of the Union. The point he continues to fail to understand is that Trump has already so insulted people of color, Mexicans, Muslims, Refugees from Shithole Countries, tried to ban Trans soldiers, is currently trying to deport thousands of law abiding people away from their families, has used the DACA kids as hostages in his effort to satisfy White Supremacist Goals, has pulled out of the Paris Accords and put a self-dealing nutbag climate conspiracy theorist in charge of EPA, a nitwit who doesn’t even know what the Energy Dept is in charge of handling U.S. Nukes, a corporate religious zealot in charge of our Schools, and a rank bigot as his Chief of Staff.
And Luntz is lamenting why people of color and Democrats don't leap to their feet at each of his mere utterances that isn’t horrible and bigoted? There are damn good fucking reasons why Frank.
Luntz begins with this gem.
“Why is it that everything he says drives the left nuts?” Luntz said. “Just because Republicans criticized Barack Obama — we all agree that it went too much, it was hyper-partisanship. We have that right now from the Donald Trump speech, and that’s wrong.”
Here’s the thing — it was Donald FUCKING TRUMP who was spreading bullshit lies and conspiracy theories about the sitting President. “We all agree that it went too much” — no, apparently we don’t all agree. Trump is still doing it with his bogus claim that “Obama wiretapped me.” He hasn’t fucking stopped, he and his people can’t say anything — not a single word — without a backhanded slap at Obama. It’s God Damn congenital.
Many of the facts that you have even stated this morning repeating his facts are not accurate” Scarborough said. “Wage growth is about the same as it was for Barack Obama. The job growth, you actually have Barack Obama over seven years doing slightly better.”
Actually wage growth is slightly less than it was under Obama. Job growth is also slightly less where most years Obama was over 2.5 Million, but Trump is just barely at 2 Million.
His claim that about the economy being so great is entirely based on how Obama saved and painstakingly restored it over his entire 8 years. Trump thinks he deserves to dance on home plate for a little pop fly single that the outfielder bobbled, after OBAMA HIT A TRIPLE to get the economy in the position it needed to be in order to come on home.
It’s fucking BULLSHIT… and it’s infuriating.
Yes, the economy is better. “Thanks Obama” is what this shithead should be saying, but noooo….
That for example, is the problem.
“Why can’t people give him credit for what has happened?” Luntz said. “Why can’t they give him credit for as speech that people had a chance to see, if you’re a Democrat there’s something in there for you, if you’re a Republican there’s something there for you.”
Because the majority of the credit for what happened this year that went well with the economy — belongs to Obama, period, full stop.
What Trump deserves credit for is not fucking it up — yet.
Also let’s talk about what he did say in that speech beyond his perpetual end zone dance about the economy — which Obama built for him.
Over the course of the lengthy speech, Trump bashed Colin Kaepernick and falsely took credit for the low African-American unemployment. He alluded to the idea immigrants were dangerous and would come to kill Americans and he blamed Black Americans for the opioid crisis killing white people in rural and suburban areas. Finally he embellished the Black homeownership rate and demanded the Black and Latino special guests stand up as if he was trying to prove he had black friends.
Even when he’s trying to be nice, he continues to race baiting and pander. Former Obama speech writer David Litt said his speech was a Love Letter to White Supremacy, brought to us by Shadow President Stephan Miller.
“If transcribed interviews are any guide, our 45th president’s natural speech pattern is a blend of vagaries and ramblings—a word salad a few weeks past its expiration date,” Litt wrote. “That’s bad for America. But an incoherent president makes the speechwriting process a golden opportunity for a staffer hoping to put a finger on the scale.”
So, for major speeches, Trump has turned to top aides like Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon, both of whom have a complicated history of shilling for white-supremacists and white nationalist policies.
“It was a combination of raw resentment and entitlement, a mix of David Koch and David Duke. Sure, Donald Trump did the talking. But that was President Stephen Miller’s first State of the Union Address,” Litt said.
…
“Where Trump had once promised to protect DREAMers, and go after the ‘bad hombres,’ this plan was a white nationalist wish list,” he wrote. “In exchange for giving 1.8 million people brought here as children a chance to become citizens, Trump’s proposed bill would slash legal immigration by 50 percent. That’s a position that would have been shockingly radical not so long ago—but Miller’s former bosses such as Michelle Bachman and Jeff Sessions would have been more than comfortable with it.”
Huckabee-Sander also tried to pull Luntz same spin with Chris Cuomo who wasn’t having any of it.
In particular, Cuomo slammed Trump for falsely saying that this policy allows immigrants to bring over an unlimited number of relatives from their countries into the United States.
“The idea, what the president said last night, somebody can bring in as many people as they want,” Cuomo said. “It’s just not true. It’s not true in the facts, not true in reality.”
Sanders tried to defend Trump’s policies by claiming that the president was only acting to protect the security of the American people. Cuomo, however, came right back at her with the president’s own words.
“He wants people to come to the country but not those certain s-hole countries,” he said, referring to Trump’s declaration that we shouldn’t be accepting immigrants from “shithole” African countries. “He wants them rich and white. That’s not America.”
Sanders also tried to claim that Democrats have to make a decision that they “Love America more than they Hate Trump” — which is some more fucking bullshit.
Trump is a clear and direct threat to America, and if you Love America — your job is to throw yourself on the tracks to protect her — FROM HIM. He’s a dictatorial asshole, a lying double-dealing huckster conman narcissist sonavabitch.
He’s the bad boyfriend whose perfectly nice, smiley and charming in front of your family, but is a verbally and physically abusive jerk in private — and don’t let him get near your friends, because he’ll try to fuck them and get away with that too. We’re aren’t fooled when he temporarily acts like a decent human being — that’s part of his act. The real Trump is the guy who doesn’t want people from “Shithole Countries” here. Who think those “son of bitches” protesting police murder should be fired. Who still thinks Obama was possibly born in Kenya. Who thinks Mexicans are Rapists. Who thinks all terrorists are Immigrant Muslims.
Trump long ago took a dump in the common well of good will for all Americans — we’re not drinking his crap.
Frack that Puto.
