There are real heroes in America. There are the heroes that help their fellow human beings, and there are those that stand up to the corrupt powers that be. YouTuber Rob Bliss decided to give a real-life example of the logic being used by FCC chairman Ajit Pai when he argued in the Restoring Internet Freedom Act:
But then, in early 2015, the FCC jettisoned this successful, bipartisan approach to the Internet. On express orders from the previous White House, the FCC scrapped the tried-and-true, light touch regulation of the Internet and replaced it with heavy-handed micromanagement. It decided to subject the Internet to utility-style regulation designed in the 1930s to govern Ma Bell.
Bliss decided to separate the two lanes of traffic in front of the FCC building in Washington, D.C., using cones, promising quick passage (for a fee) in one lane, and slowing down traffic using a bicycle in the other lane. The stunt was performed over three days, until the police presence stopping Bliss became overwhelming. It is both a funny and an impressive protest.
