Ryan has deleted his tweet, but we cannot allow him to live it down:
Remember, Ryan is also the guy who got busted drinking $350 bottles of wine with his lobbyist friends. When queried by a reporter one table over, Ryan said:
“I didn’t order – they ordered,” Ryan told TPM. “I had one glass, uh, with my water, and when [Feinberg] was talking about how expensive it was, I didn’t even know [the price].” [...]
TPM: But do you think it’s appropriate now that you know how much the wine cost to be drinking [such expensive wine] when you’re advocating cuts for seniors?
Ryan: “I think it’s stupid to pick up that much for a bottle of wine under any circumstance.”
As he should, Ryan is getting raked over the coals on Twitter. Remember, this is the same tax cut that delivered tens of millions in tax benefits to Trump, who is a multi-millionaire real-estate-developer. It also created special tax loopholes for real-estate developers along and fossil fuel industries aligned with Republicans.
Randy Bryce is running to ‘repeal and replace’ Ryan in 2018. Please volunteer for his campaign.
The tax boondoggle that the Koch Bros. alone got would pay $1.50 a week to 100 million workers for months. If we took the 100 billion or so that the tax boondoggle gives to the richest Americans, we could give the poorest 50 million wage earners a $1 an hour raise.
If we can’t defeat this guy and his entire country-club, let-them-eat-cake, robber-baron, copper-king supporting party, then we don’t deserve to be in politics.
