This is good news. Our Revolution, a group that supports many of the same policies campaigned on by Bernie Sanders, has endorsed Laura Moser, a Dem candidate for Congress in the Houston, Texas suburbs. It seems that the DCCC had tried to destroy her candidacy by releasing opposition research about her. The DCCC apparently favors a wealthy Dem candidate.
It’s unusual for the DCCC to intervene in a primary, let alone to act like Republicans and push opposition research on a Democrat. Laura Moser is a progressive, and that explains much. Wealth doesn’t speak, it swears, and the DCCC hears it clearly.
Well, the DCCC attacks have not been working.
HOUSTON – Democratic congressional candidate Laura Moser announced Monday that she has raised more than $86,700 since she was targeted for defeat last week by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).
Moser, in a seven-way battle in the March 6 Democratic primary to unseat Houston Republican John Culberson, suggested her fundraising represents an "overwhelming response" to Thursday's unusual DCCC attack.
Moser said the latest influx of cash came from about 4,515 people, at an average donation of $19.20, with about one sixth of over overall haul coming from the Greater Houston area.

$19 donations. People vrs. plutocrats.
And now Moser has been endorsed by Our Revolution.
A progressive group allied with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) endorsed a Texas Democrat running in a crowded House primary on March 1, just days after House Democrats’ campaign arm targeted the candidate.
The move sets the stage for a clash between progressive Democrats and the party's more moderate Washington establishment.
The Sanders-affiliated group, Our Revolution, is the latest progressive group to fire back at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee for the attacks on candidate Laura Moser, calling the DCCC’s attacks “ridiculous.”

Our Revolution also praised Moser as a “rising progressive advocate.” The group’s statewide chapter, Our Revolution Texas, has already backed her candidacy.
“From her support for a $15 minimum wage and Medicare for All to her commitment to improving the immigration system, Laura will not just hold a congressional seat, she'll put it to work creating policies that work for grassroots people, not just for the billionaires,” Jim Hightower, an Our Revolution board member, said in a statement.
“The people of Texas should be allowed to make their own decisions on who to vote for without the influence of Washington insiders.”
The Hill
Minority Leader Pelosi needs to get involved and do a housecleaning of the DCCC.
At least here, the DCC efforts are rebounding against them.
Democrats value people over wealth. The DCC needs to learn that.
If she wins today, perhaps she should send a thank you note to the DCCC. :-)
