When we last left Claudia Tenney (R-NY22), she was in hot water for her controversial comments that many mass murderers “end up being Democrats.” She was widely denounced by leading Democrats and Republicans from around the country and in her district, including by the three living people who previously held her seat in Congress — Two Republicans and a Democrat.
Tenney never apologized for calling Democrats mass murderers. Now, whenever she shows her face in public, reporters want to ask her about her comments and ask her for proof. It’s been getting under her skin.
This past weekend, in events in New Hartford and Binghamton, NY, she announced she was running for a second term. Over 150 protesters showed up in response, and their presence seemed to get on her nerves. When asked by reporters after her announcement about her “mass murderer” comments, Tenney exploded in an angry tirade:
“I’m telling the truth,” Tenney insisted. “It isn’t just Republicans who commit all these terrible crimes. ... All I’m saying is everybody is guilty equally.”
Asked again about her comments, Tenney ended the interview and walked away.
“It is fake news! I answered your question every which way, it is fake news,” she said. “Bye. Done. It’s ridiculous.”
The video is even more shocking that the quotes. Check it out.
If you want to help kick Tenney out of Congress, check out her Democratic opponent, Anthony Brindisi. Throw him $22 if you want to help win a swing district and remove a particularly awful GOP Representative.
