White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the lawyer for Stephanie Clifford, better known as adult film actress Stormy Daniels, offered what you might call conflicting information about the status of the $130,000 of hush money to Daniels, the related non-disclosure agreement on her affair with Trump, and the ensuing legal wrangling.
According to Sanders, “arbitration was won in the president’s favor” by Trump’s personal lawyers. This is where Sanders’ known habits of lying for Trump—and, presumably, passing along lies he tells her—come up, because:
I don’t know if Michael Avenatti is a trustworthy guy, but I know Sanders is a liar, so Avenatti gets the benefit of the doubt there. Especially since Daniels has seemed a whole lot more eager to be open and transparent about what happened, and has produced way more receipts than Team Trump. “We won but I can’t tell you about it” from Sanders just isn’t the most convincing claim.
