Once again, I was a bit unplugged this weekend. We had a wedding to attend and then it started snowing …. again. Nobody better come at me with climate change denial. We will end up with 30” of snow in the last 3 weeks …. and it’s spring. Yes, in the past we have had spring snow. But it’s been rare and the weather warmed up quickly to melt it away. It’s been in the upper 20s to lower 30s here over the last week and a half. That’s not normal!
I chose the sign above because it speaks to what is heading for the GOPers in November. Millions of new voters the majority of whom do not relate to the GOP agenda. It’s our duty as Democrats to volunteer in our local parties to register these people and help get them to the polls. Let’s end the Democrats terrible turn out numbers in mid term elections once and for all!

Interesting regarding the Trump Tower fire this weekend:
Not surprised. Mega churches are usually run by the prosperity type preachers who are most definitely not any kind of Christian as far as I’m concerned. These people are so far from the teachings of Christ. Interesting piece on why black parishioners are leaving these churches.
From the piece:
Black worshippers who left the comfort and familiarity of the black church to forge an inclusive, integrated church with their white neighbors now find themselves church-less. The support of Trump’s divisive rhetoric within their predominantly white churches made their continued attendance untenable. Many of these African Americans now randomly select a new church each week in the hope of finding a new spiritual home.
While it is true that black parishioners are leaving white churches in droves, Trump isn’t the cause. He merely exacerbates a festering wound that white evangelicals have for years proven themselves incapable of healing, despite their attempts to convince us of the opposite.
Finally:
I agree here. Even though it doesn’t seem like it, his base is not expanding. Most presidents try to expand their support once they are in office. The more Trump tries to please this super right wing faction, the more moderate GOPers and Independents will either vote Dem or stay home.
So time to chat and try to enjoy your Monday!
