A number of generous donors helped me with a funding request previously. I am humbled and grateful. Unfortunately, I am in a position where I don’t know where else to turn once again.
The job for which I interviewed in December had a delayed start. I will have two training days next week, but I won’t get paid until May. (The school board has to approve new employees.) It is a substitute position, so my search continues for something permanent. My options are limited due to chronic illness and physical limitations.
For more information, see my diary entitled Disability is not for Losers and Takers, Paul Ryan.

The gnawing circle of worry, guilt, anxiety and depression is So difficult to overcome.
I had to use my overdraft protection to purchase my prescriptions, $65; and groceries for my dogs and me: $98. I have until 6 PM tomorrow, April 16, to deposit money into my account to avoid overdraft fees.
Other items: Electric $344 (I think it is high because I’ve been behind, will check)
Due April 16
HOA fees $240 Due today, but they will give me a few days grace
Woozle med $115 per month, up from $40; I got 15 days worth
Doctor bill $95 Past Due
Hospital bill $449 Due April 29
My PayPal account is bluessingerrn(at)aol(dot)com.
I know there are people that are far worse off; that contributes to the feeling of guilt and despair. My hope is to soon be back on stable financial footing and able to help others again.
Thanks for anything you can contribute, even if it’s not monetary.

A few days have lapsed since I was able to have full unfettered access to the internet. Power outage...thankfully not due to late payment, and I can’t even wrap my mind around what is going on in Puerto Rico...I can just continue to call my so-called representatives EVERY DAY; and internet and phone problems just to add to the fun.
I picked up a prescription which had been $14 co-pay with Medicare. Suddenly it’s $35. As yet, I have no explanation for this, but prices seem to be rising in many sectors and especially in pharmaceuticals. I will try to explore this topic, as it might make a good diary and my hope is always to help.
My neurologist wants me to go to a specialist at the WVU main campus in Morgantown. He thinks I may need to get an implanted pump. Soon after I was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome I read as much as I could; and when I read about deaths due to Baclofen pump failure, I decided that I was never going to get a pump if I could help it. I am willing to go, and discuss other therapies.

I have attended my two training days, last Friday and yesterday. I found out that unfortunately, I will not get paid until May 30. I also was informed that I had to be fingerprinted again. Apparently when they declined my application last year (for not having LTC experience!), they purged my record at the state department of education.
I was incorrect when I posted that I was saved from overdraft fees. ($64) My bank won’t accept the “instant” transfer from PayPal.
I have paid $120 of HOA fees and covered the groceries and prescriptions in my request.
Additional expenses: Fingerprints $45, Certificate for school $35, Prescriptions increased from $14/each to $35/each for 30 day supply. I have not gotten through to Medicare yet about that. I can save $24 on Apoquel using GoodRx. I can’t save any on my own meds. $55 for headlights.
Last but not least, I have $100 donation. Thanks again to Dkos members for giving hope to the weary.
