You can tell a lot about the character of a man (or lack thereof) — by the petty and spiteful litigiousness he engages in, simply as a matter of course.
Dishonest Donald Trump is an “open book” in that regard. Here is a small sampling:
Judge orders Trump to pay nearly $300,000 in attorney’s fees in Doral painter’s lawsuit
by JOSE LAMBIET, miamiherald.com — July 22, 2016
While developer Donald Trump was busy getting the Republican Party’s presidential nomination this week, he was losing big in a Miami-Dade County courtroom.
Circuit Court Judge Jorge Cueto, presiding over a lawsuit related to unpaid bills brought by a local paint store against the Trump National Doral Miami golf resort, ordered the billionaire politician’s company to pay the Doral-based mom-and-pop shop nearly $300,000 in attorney’s fees.
All because, according to the lawsuit, Trump allegedly tried to stiff The Paint Spot on its last payment of $34,863 on a $200,000 contract for paint used in the renovation of the home of golf’s famed Blue Monster two years ago.

In April 1988, Trump was the target of a civil penalty for his attempts to take over Holiday Corp. and Bally Manufacturing. The Associated Press noted at the time that Trump’s 1986 stock purchases in the two companies “violated the notification procedures required by the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.”
The law required buyers “to notify the government before purchasing more than $15 million worth of voting stock in a company and wait 30 days before completing the transaction.” As a result of the violations, Trump was forced to pay a $750,000 civil penalty.

by Doug Criss, CNN — April 10, 2018
A judge has finalized a $25 million dollar settlement in the Trump University class action lawsuit, paving the way for thousands of former students at the now-defunct real estate seminar to get some of their money back.
[...]
Former students who claim they were defrauded are now eligible for a refund of up to 90% of the money they spent on courses.
In November 2016, just days after the election, Trump agreed to settle three lawsuits filed against his real estate school that argued the program featured false advertisements and empty promises.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, whose office filed one of the three lawsuits, said of the final settlement: "This settlement marked a stunning reversal by President Trump, who for years refused to compensate the victims of his sham university. "
That last case of Trump U. Students vs Don the Con — was only settled because he had just won bullied his way to the Republican Nomination. Otherwise the Trumpster said he would have continued fighting the class action suit, as he had been doing for years.
The Shyster Meister only settled the suit — because not to, would have been a PR disaster, just as he was about to conduct the Biggest Con of his life:
Convincing enough of the American People that was a very successful billionaire businessman — and just what the country ordered!
Mission accomplished … with a little help from his friends (Cambridge Analytica, Facebook, and Guccifer 2.0).
