Trump’s reasons led his 20 minute speech with the terrorist threat represented by Iran and its proxies, with the regime change subtext.
He misrepresented the terms of the JCPOA, repeats the “malign behavior” remark from yesterday’s Financial Times report.
Trump claims definitive proof (of a fiction), essentially repeating the Israeli talking points presented by Netanyahu last week.
Trump also included a lie about military base inspection and tried to confuse the missile capability of Iran with the launch range capability of the North Korea.
And he asserted that in present tense, Iran is currently developing nuclear weapons, rather than the accurate information now available even with the Israeli claims.
Strangely, removing inspection represented by JCPOA makes the likelihood of nuclear break-out more possible. And idiotically, the threat of sanctioning allies creates the possibility of a sanctions skirmish with France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
In one speech Mighty Mango gave away leverage to make any future deals, which fits with the continuing revanchist fantasy of Iranian regime change.
Among others, Putin’s going to be making a windfall from the spike in oil prices. This is less about nuclear proliferation policies than it is yet another cash grab from manipulating uncertainty. Remember what 45* says about taking Iraqi oil.
Iran is compliant with the JCPOA, and the US is in effect not in compliance by withdrawing using flimsy reasons like the bogus Israeli Powerpoints.
