Today, the UK Guardian published several investigative pieces detailing the extent to which Ecuador financed a spy operation on the guests in their own embassy in London to ‘’protect and support’’ Julian Assange.
Apparently, Mr. Assange is so grateful of the support and asylum provided by Ecuadorian government that he hacked into the Ecuadorian embassy’s communication systems
In an extraordinary breach of diplomatic protocol, Assange hacked into the communications system within the embassy and had his own satellite internet access, according to a source who wished to remain anonymous. By penetrating the embassy’s firewall, Assange was able to access and intercept the official and personal communications of staff, the source claimed.
In 2014, the company hired to film Assange’s visitors was warning the Ecuadorian government that he was “intercepting and gathering information from the embassy and the people who worked there”.
The escalating cost of the Operation Hotel surveillance operation was also an issue for Ecuador’s financial controller’s office.
Really, now?
The Ecuadorian government needs to kick his ass outta there, like, yesterday for some bullshit like that...I mean, is that the way you treat anyone who is giving you asylum?
Given that the Guardian has published, today, several investigative reports about the many different aspects of Mr. Assange’s stay in a series titled ‘’Operation Hotel,’’ I can only assume that Ecuador’s new president, Lenín Moreno, who has called Assange a “hacker” and an “inherited problem,” wants Assange, out, come what may.
