By the time most of you are waking up today a happy event of some note is about to take place across the Atlantic ocean.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let
people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Prince Harry and his lovely bride-to-be Meghan Markle will be going down the aisle at 7am EST/4am PST. I watched his parents wedding and his brother’s, so naturally I will be getting up at 2:30 am to watch the beginning coverage of this happy event. I will snuggle up on my couch with mimosas and crumpets (with jam and marmalade) in hand and watch with interest all the well dressed arrivals (and their fascinators) at St George’s Chapel and then the carriage ride:
On the day, their carriage will leave Windsor Castle via Castle Hill and process along the High Street and through Windsor Town, returning to Windsor Castle via the Long Walk.
The carriage will be escorted by a travelling Escort of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment.
The horses pulling the carriage are Windsor Greys named: Milford Haven, Sir Basil, Tyrone and Storm.
The day of the wedding is not a public holiday in Britain, but even so, 100,000 + people are expected to be lining the streets to watch that carriage ride.
Who will be the bridesmaids and grooms?
Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge
(Aged 3)
Miss Florence van Cutsem
(Aged 3 – goddaughter of Prince Harry, daughter of Mrs. Alice van Cutsem and Major Nicholas van Cutsem)
Miss Remi Litt
(Aged 6 – goddaughter of Ms. Markle, daughter of Mrs. Benita Litt and Mr. Darren Litt)
Miss Rylan Litt
(Aged 7 – goddaughter of Ms. Markle, daughter of Mrs. Benita Litt and Mr. Darren Litt)
Miss Ivy Mulroney
(Aged 4 – daughter of Mrs. Jessica Mulroney and Mr. Benedict Mulroney)
Miss Zalie Warren
(Aged 2 – goddaughter of Prince Harry, daughter of Mrs. Zoe Warren and Mr. Jake Warren)
The pageboys will be:
His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge
(Aged 4)
Master Jasper Dyer
(Aged 6 – godson of Prince Harry, son of Mrs. Amanda Dyer and Mr. Mark Dyer M.V.O.)
Master Brian Mulroney
(Aged 7 – son of Mrs. Jessica Mulroney and Mr. Benedict Mulroney)
Master John Mulroney
(Aged 7 – son of Mrs. Jessica Mulroney and Mr. Benedict Mulroney)

There will NOT be a maid of honour, since Ms. Markle decided she could not choose between her friends.
Meghan’s mother has arrived:
Meghan will be accompanied down the aisle by Charles, the Prince of Wales. Meghan’s father is reportedly in too poor a health to make the trip.
It also may not be possible for Prince Philip to attend the ceremony. He had a hip replacement in late April...and is in his late 90’s. I’m sure that he will attend as much as possible.

Good Morning all!! I see St George’s Chapel is being filled with all of Meghan and Harry’s friends Even Serena Williams went by in a pink fascinator!! Many are actors from the US!
Ah...the car with Meghan and her mother Doria has just left on the way to the chapel. Soon will come the queen and possibly the Duke of Windsor, and then finally comes the groom.
The Archbishop just entered the church.

Prince Harry (soon to be the Duke of Sussex) and his brother William, Duke of Cornwall have just arrived and been greeted at the door by the Archbishop. Next will come the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall. It seems that Prince Phillip will not be attending the actual ceremony.

Well, well...Prince Phillip IS attending after all. Remarkable after going through hip replacement at 96 old.
The queen has arrived as have all the bridesmaids and pageboys!! Next will be the bride-to-be herself.
She’s arriving right now!! Lovely in a simple white dress...but the train is glorious!!! It seems to be about 40 feet or more long!! And what a tiara!
