Wayfarers State Park is located on Flathead Lake near the village of Bigfork, Montana. The 67-acre park includes a boat launch and beach area, a campground with 30 sites, nature trails, and lots of picnicking opportunities. In May of each year, the Park hosts Paddlefest, a celebrating of paddling, which provides opportunities to try out demonstration equipment and to learn about paddling safety and tips.
Public Lands
State Parks often face funding problems with conservative control of state legislatures: when revenues fall, sometimes because of tax breaks to the wealthy, funding for state parks is also cut.
