Who knows what the week ahead will bring. But the embarrassment of the US at the G7 by Trump really put a crimp in the weekend. To treat our allies like enemies …. allies who stood with us and rushed to our rescue after 9/11 …. is beyond discouraging. It appears Trump, or at least the evil people in his administration (because I don’t know how “aware” Trump is) are bound and determined to align us with the dictators of the world; Putin, Kim Jong Un and Duterte to name a few.
This is a tweet from one of Trudeau’s former advisers regarding Trump:
Our foreign relations is in tatters and I believe this is exactly what the GOP wants. Sadly, it will take years to repair the damage if we are able. As Macron of France said this weekend (I think it was him), “No one is forever”. I’m sure he was referring to Trump. I certainly hope our allies realize that the majority of American voters did not vote for this cretin.
Now that I’m off my soap box, here are a few tweets to further discussion today:
Thread on how Trump is thumbing his nose at the Presidential Records Act. Just another thing the GOP is ignoring and letting him get away with.

This is what is sad about this “summit” and what is lost on the Trump people. They are giving this tin pot dictator legitimacy on the world stage.

OK … I think I’ve provided enough fodder for discussion. Happy Monday (I can’t believe I just said that!).
