Credit goes to the Miami Herald for this:
Earlier this year, the rump adminstration quietly reopened a juvenile detention facility in Homestead, Fla., that it had previously shuttered due to a decline in border crossings.
DHS refused to say if any of the childen taken from their parents at the southern border are housed there.
Term term “unaccompanied” is being used to lump minors who cross the border by themselves together with those taken away from their parents. Newspeak.
The facility can hold up to 1,000.
DHS personnel would not let media inside and even tried to prevent photography of the outside, claiming trespass despite the fact that it was a public street. Photos show a group of boys playing soccer — again, no girls apparently.
Rep. Bill Wilson (D-FL) is expected to tour the facility today.
