Here is a sample of reactions to the Trump-Putin disgraceful meeting and press conference in Helsinki.
At cursory glance, one would think (and Trump probably does) that none of what was said was new or different — after all Trump has been denigrating the intelligence community for a while, attacking the Mueller investigation, claiming no collusion, claiming that Russia was not involved in election meddling, has never spoken one word against Putin, insinuating that Obama is to blame for poor relations with Russia (and North Korea), that Hillary’s emails are the cause of every problem in the world, which he alone can fix, in a matter of hours, etc.
But somehow, some invisible line was crossed today, when after a two-hour 1-on-1 meeting with Putin, he blamed America and stated that he trusted Putin’s word over that of the entire U.S. intelligence community. The Mueller indictments of the 12 Russian agents last Friday perhaps made it different this time. But the condemnation has been near universal (most republican leaders are too complicit and probably compromised to speak out). Even Fox news was speaking out against the president for not “defending America”. The word “treason” is being used quite liberally in the media.
Let’s take a look at some of the major responses. There are many more in the comments section.
Democratic lawmakers were quick to get the ball rolling, although many wish that they were more forceful.
Ex CIA director Brennan started the avalanche of the word “treason”.
That puts Trump at war with the US, don’t you think?
A censure would be a start. But republicans are cowards.
Say it Bernie — the T word -
Perhaps one of the best suggestions -
John Kerry — good to hear from you again.
Let’s send this statement from John McCain to every republican voter -
A few meek republican voices (please check back tomorrow for their new tune “It’s Obama’s fault”) -
The word “Disgraceful” also filled the airwaves and tubes -
We shall never Surrender, even if our president does.
Here is the disgraceful press conference video -

Let’s take each and every complicit GOP lawmaker down this November. Let’s restore America to its rightful leadership position in the world.
