Jamestown Settlement is a living history museum near the historical site of the first British colony in North America. There is a museum containing artifacts from the three cultures that intersected here: colonial England, the native Powhatan, and the Africans who were involuntarily brought here from Ngola (present-day Angola). There are also living history displays and re-enactors at a recreation of a Powhatan village, Fort James, and reproductions of the ships which brought the English settlers.
Alas, there is no photography allowed in the museum hall itself, but here are some photos from the outdoors living history section.
For those who don't know, I live in a converted campervan and am traveling around the country, posting photo diaries of places that I have visited. :)
