UPDATE: Jury will reconvene tomorrow at 930am for a fourth day of deliberations.
Much guessing about what’s happening in the Manafort trials third day of jury deliberations. After some Trumpian hints at pardons, 45* said nothing about the trial over a weekend that suggests that the jury is being thorough over multiple counts.
There’s going to be a second trial that will have deeper implications considering that Manafort tried to tamper with witnesses.
Manafort is charged with 18 counts of tax evasion, bank fraud and hiding foreign bank accounts in the first case brought to trial by Mueller as part of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US election. Manafort has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Judge T.S. Ellis and both teams of lawyers are also meeting Monday morning in private. Ellis said the conversation will be made public at the end of the trial.
