Welcome to Morning Open Thread, a daily post with a MOTley crew of hosts who choose the topic for the day. We support our community, invite and share ideas, and encourage thoughtful, respectful dialogue in an open forum.
The diarist gets to sleep in if she wants to, and she can show up long after the post published. That is a feature, not a bug. Other than that, site rulz rule.

Good morning, everyone. Switching it up in my stint of subbing for Queries, today we move on to the early episodes of Leave it to Beaver. As far as I can find, this program is not available on a site that DK supports for embedding. If you can find an embedable link, please post it in the comments

Aired October 4, 1957 — Miss Canfield wants Beaver to play Smokey Bear in a school pageant and gives him a note to take home requesting parental permission. Beaver believes he's going to be expelled. With Wally's help, he concocts a letter from "Mrs. Ward Cleaver" assuring his teacher he's been punished for his offense. His teacher is mystified and calls June to school. The confusion is resolved. Beaver, however, has climbed a tree to escape punishment and, after much ado, is coaxed to descend. ~ Wiki
