I keep reading that Democrats have resigned themselves to the notion that Republicans will retain control of the Senate. Maybe. Maybe not. We always knew that this was an uphill battle. Regardless, such crap—at this stage—is for losers.
Throwing in the towel on ANY within-reach Senate race (or any other within-reach race) is a HUGE mistake. Not only does this attitude obviously hurt that candidate’s chances, it also hurts other Dem candidates running for other offices in that state. And, even more significantly, assuming a loss in any of these close Senate races suppresses Dem enthusiasm across the nation. Besides, one simply can’t predict what might happen between now and Nov. 6.
IF WE DON’T PLAY TO WIN, WE WON’T. 24 DAYS LEFT. PLEASE—ASSUME THAT WE CAN WIN ANYWHERE, AS LONG AS WE LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD!
