Lest someone charge exaggeration, I will say this is not yet on that scale, but looking more and more like it.
Oregonian has the story here, in timeline form.
“Law and Order” march by RW in Portland, Ore., broke out in mass brawl last night.
Like NYC, but worse.
Similar: claimed provocation by Antifa.
(Does Antifa even exist, except as a stalking horse or a few idiots? To answer my own question, apparently somebody was pleased in Portland to give the RWers a target last night.)
A RWer flipped off a Portland #BLM crowd there the other day, which was protesting a police shooting. A few people pounded on his car; he drove into the crowd. Proud Boys claimed to be protesting treatment of the RWer.
We know this is planned.
We know they are purposefully hitting liberal-progressive bastions.
We know they are purposefully looking for opportunities using local incidents, such as police shootings, to escalate.
We know the police were supine in NYC.
Police in Portland watched and warned the conspicuously armed marchers and acted when the brawl broke out. They quelled the riot quickly, but made no immediate arrests. Say they are investigating.
We know this one echoed the Charlottesville model.
Where besides the death of Heather Heyer, people were beaten.
And the police, initially, were supine.
Charlottesville, NYC, Portland.
All liberal-progressive communities.
(And in the wake of the emboldening Blackwater Refuge.)
We know this will get worse if nothing is done.
AND, we can be pretty sure it is foreign supported, if not foreign instigated.
Weak police responses embolden them.
We need a law enforcement investigation of these groups, including their funding.
And an evaluation of police protocol.
(And eff it, “Antifa” needs to be looked at too. Running around in masks getting in the face of RWers and giving them something to react directly against is lousy Tai Chi. At best. It could just as well be that they are idiots who simply like to rumble, and feel righteous doing it...exactly like the RW bros. And their funding?)
Someone will do a better diary...I am on mobile.
