Important to remember that there are always a lot more agendas at work and more complete histories are always important. Trump has been committed to flood the media with his nonsense until Election Day, so the lies will increase if only because like a vampire, reflection is a scarce option.
Two examples of how seemingly peripheral activities are building to related concusions:
- Robert Mueller asking Paul Manafort about Roger Stone’s contacts with the Russians, this on its surface is not that new as much as it has some other corroborative implications related to the indictments of the 25 Russians linked to the GRU. Mueller’s just going up the ladder.
- disinformation about Jamal Khashoggi designed to not only discredit the victim, but draw attention away from the killers and the actual reasons for his killing.
Prosecutors from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office have been asking former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort — their newest cooperating witness — about his friend and former business associate Roger Stone, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.
Stone, a longtime political adviser to President Donald Trump and onetime partner of Manafort’s at the lobbying firm Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly, has come under increasing scrutiny from the special counsel in recent months. Nearly a dozen individuals close to Stone have been brought in for interviews with the Mueller team, and many of those same individuals have also appeared before a federal grand jury.
Mueller’s interest in Stone appears to be focused on whether Stone or his associates communicated with Julian Assange or WikiLeaks about the release of damaging emails allegedly hacked from Hillary Clinton’s campaign by Russian intelligence officers masquerading as hacker persona “Guccifer 2.0.”

On Twitter there’s some RW troll-bot activity manufacturing disinformation by cherry-picked history with the Khashoggi / bin laden meme forgetting conveniently the connections between the Bushes and the bin Ladens, and of course ignoring the role of the Khashoggi family in the Iran-Contra affair. If associations mean anything, Jamal Khashoggi was more of a Republican than Trump.
The messaging goal is to draw attention away from the reasons for the assassination, such as a Khashoggi investigation into MBS and Kushner that was suggested in an interview on Egyptian TV.
The Conservative Review is an American news media company founded by conservative political commentator and radio personality Mark Levin, who serves as its current editor-in-chief. The company's stated goal is to "provide conservative voters with a reliable source of information on the nature of federal officeholders and candidates for federal office."[citation needed]
In October 2016, Conservative Review launched CRTV, an online television network, with shows by Mark Levin, Michelle Malkin, Steven Crowder, Mark Steyn, Gavin McInnes, Steve Deace,[1] and Matt Kibbe.[2] Steyn's show was cancelled in February 2017.[3] Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson joined the lineup in October 2017.[4] Eric Bolling joined the lineup in summer 2018.[5]
After Trump took office, the Conservative Review was one of a number of conservative media outlets that engaged in a campaign to single out career government employees that they saw as being a part of a "deep state", or "so-called Obama holdovers".[14] T
Gary Kasparov tweeted in December 2016: "The point of modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth."
