All good Trump supporters must stand unified against the totally unTrumpian actions of one self-proclaimed (and, it will be claimed, not even true) Trumpian.
Trumpians are going to be required to assure, by their own behavior, the understandably frightened American people that Trumpism is not a religion of violence, but of peace. We need look no further for examples of this than the words of movement’s founder Trump Himself… No, wait, that’s probably not a good idea…
Trumpians must, at this crucial moment, show their fellow Americans that they can be trusted. Maybe not flaunt their Trumpishness so much with the cult-y headgear and clothing covered with Trumpian messages. Shouting slogans at strangers in public places should be discouraged in these hyper-vigilant days. Trolling the Facebook and Twitter feeds of friends of friends might easily be mistaken for threats and reported.
Real Americans know that most Trumpians are good, hard-working people much like themselves, only with a lot of kind of weird beliefs that don’t jibe with objective reality. And we admit it’s sad that this week’s terror attacks by one Trumpian cast suspicions on all, but you can’t blame us for being proactive.
So, Trumpians, if in coming days you are pulled over for no apparent reason than the fifty-seven Trump meme stickers eliminating all visibility from your vehicle or some Corner Store Carol telephones police to report your “suspicious” hat in the neighborhood, don’t be upset. Just keep your hands at ten and two, say, “Sir” or “Ma’am.” People just want to make sure you’re not, you know, one of the bad hombres.
Can’t be too careful these days.
