Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) seems to have been liberated by retirement. He’s at long last actually standing for something. He’s putting all judicial nominees on hold until McConnell puts the bi-partisan bill protecting Mueller investigation on the floor for a vote.
I don’t know if this is part of his plan to challenge Trump for the GOP nomination (or run as an independent) in 2020 or what. Instead of finding his own “profile in courage” in voting against Kavanaugh (or making the FBI renewed background check more than a joke), Flake, for whatever reason, is finding it now.
