The redoubtable mettle fatigue will once again be hosting the Turkey Trot Write On! next week. Be there or be quadrangular.
This week’s topic was also suggested by mettle fatigue: What do you eat as you sprint-write? What’s your eating plan for NaNoWriMo?
My meal plan alternates between frozen dinners (especially Chung’s vegetarian spring rolls and Stouffer’s french bread pizza) and things that can be cooked and made to last over several meals (soup and chili and other things that go into one big pot). I keep planning to make chicken dopiaza, but it takes hours to make and I just don’t want to waste my writing time.
For my snack game, I like things that can be eaten while reading manuscript pages: Amy’s cheddar bunnies, tangerines, bananas, and Wegman’s lemon sorbet bars.
What about you? Favorite meals and snacks for the sprint? Any tips on eating to win?
Since the above doesn’t lend itself to a tonight’s challenge:
Show us your main character making or obtaining his or her favorite nosh. Limit yourself to 100 words.
If you don’t have a main character, use the Callow Youth. That’s what s/he’s there for.
Write On! will be a regular weekly diary (Thurs 8 pm eastern, 5pm pacific) until it isn't.
