Hi all
As usual the pictures posted really fucked up and as usual I'm not going to take the time to make them right. Use your imaginations.
Ok so this project was to finish the bathroom I'd built----10 year ago.
(Those who complain contractors never finish a job should see OUR houses)
When I moved in, this bedroom had a small half bath and a large master closet. I made the half bath into the closet and the closet into a full bath. Interesting project, must be somewhere in the archives. Unfortunately critical things like golf and traveling to exotic places kept me from finishing this for 10 years.
As you can tell, I delayed finishing this, the primary reason being I'm not that wild about crawling around on bathroom floors. But after 10 years i finally got tired of looking at the No Baseboards every day while taking a dump,
All I had to do now was pull the toilet, put new vinyl down, put in the baseboard and reinstall the toilet. I had put vinyl on the floor before but it was old and blah looking. And hee hee had a patch where I'd moved the toilet once
Of course I stained and lacquered the baseboard before I cut it. Yes i cocked the toliet a little crooked, to get more knee room
I had more and better pictures but I lost my phone last week and the pictures were on it. So these are as-is. Finished at last
Here's a REALLY helpful hint when putting in stained or painted molding--after you mitre them, stain or paint the raw ends too. This makes a not quite tight joint look perfect.
What are you working on?
