Eversource Energy Co Appeals SEC Denial Of Northern Pass, To NH Supreme Court.-Reasons Why It Should, Never, Be Allowed.
The New Hampshire Supreme Court has agreed to hear Eversource's appeal related to the rejection of its Northern Pass transmission line proposal.
The company announced Friday that the court had accepted its appeal, in which it argues that the state's Site Evaluation Committee failed to fully deliberate the case, misapplied its own rules, and put an undue burden on the company.
The case is expected to be heard in early 2019.
In March, the committee issued a written ruling denying the power project over concerns it would harm tourism and property values.
