I’ve really been craving donuts lately. I think it started when I brought in donuts on the last day of my honors class (a semesterly tradition) and restrained myself from eating any. My restraint was a mistake, it seems, because it planted a seed.
The BF and I decided (well, I decided for us) to go out for coffee and donuts the other morning. Of course, there’s a “spot” for pretty much everything in Houston, and the Internet told me that Morningstar in The Heights was a great spot for what I was craving.
We were quite pleased from the moment we walked in the door. It’s a cool little hipster-ish place (which is kind of my thing when it comes to coffee shops), and you’re immediately greeted with a glass case full of donuts:
They also serve full breakfasts, so it ended up turning into a lot more than coffee and donuts. It was all delicious, and all of the food was so photogenic that we couldn’t resist taking pics:
What do you want to chat about this morning?
All are welcome to join the fun, the silliness, the conversations. If you don’t know...just ask! Some things really do require a bit of explanation.
There will be a few surprises along the way, all good ones, we hope.
We are here to keep building the Daily Kos Community.
We post Mon-Sun at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. On Sunday we go to the C!U!A! posting to show support for all the work being done to promote Democratic candidates/causes. Please to join us there, as well.
Pie fights will be met with outrageous ridicule and insults. Trolls will be incinerated and served at the next group BBQ. As briquettes.
