Republican politicians know enough to duck and cover after a mass shooting. If you want to know what they’re really thinking in the moment, you need to look at the fascists who drive this party’s ideology. In this case, Ann Coulter:
There is a lesson to be learned here. Mass shootings will plague us as long we let the Republican party get away with claiming guns have the right to live, while schoolchildren do not.
Why does America have so many mass shootings, and so much gun violence, far, far more than any other country?
Because Republican politicians do not fear voters and parents.
And we are to blame for this.
We've fooled ourselves into thinking we are powerless.
As long as we tolerate politicians who place inanimate objects over people, we will suffer from gun violence.
Till we come to our senses and throw these bums out, we will regularly see our children killed in our schools, our friends killed at concerts.
Republicans do not fear us, the people, which is why they shamelessly cozy up to the NRA. They should be scared witless, tremble with fear at the righteous fury of parents and grandparents.
Instead, the leader of the Republican party, President Trump invited the NRA leadership to the White House on the anniversary of the Sandy Hook mass shooting.
Twenty elementary schoolchildren, 6 and 7 years old, were shot to death. Trump and his NRA friends literally feasted on the anniversary of this massacre. Unafraid. Laughing at the dead.
We must make them fear us, and they must feel our wrath. The only way to fix gun laws and stem the flood of guns that is drowning our country is to vote the entire Republican party out.
They can shove their thoughts and prayers. We need to send these NRA stooges packing.
Organize. Vote. Register others to vote.
The kids have the right idea.
