A couple years ago, while flossing my teeth, the filling in one of my back molars came loose. I pushed it back in, it stayed, and I was a little more cautious about flossing after that. I put off the inevitable for a couple years because I can’t afford dental insurance, and it doesn’t come with Medicare, go figure. Fast forward to November 2018, and said molar starts to hurt. A lot. I called my local DHS Seniors and People With Disabilities office to find out if there was a free (or really cheap) dental care available to me. I found a nearby clinic that charged on a sliding scale, and, lucky me, it only cost $25 for a visit. That’s the good news…
After taking an Xray, it was discovered that the extraction was going to be more complicated than usual, being that the root of the tooth was dangerously close to my sinuses. So I had to be referred to an oral surgeon. Who advised me to apply for Care Credit, who was more than happy to send me further into debt. So the extraction was done, I’m healed, but after trying to crunch numbers and dealing with a rental increase (I’m on Section 8, but I don’t think they account for dental bills) I can’t really afford to make the payments.
The total amount was $400. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My Paypal is: wingednag AT gmail DOT com Name: Pamela Becker
