Campaign Action
Why is this even a thing that’s under consideration?
The Democratic primary debates came up on Bret Baier's show last night:
Baier: "Is Fox in the mix for those debates?"
DNC chair Tom Perez: "Absolutely we're having discussions with Fox, and others."
Baier: "Alright, well thank you very much. Just wanted to hear that."
“… and others” is fine. With Fox? There is absolutely ZERO upside to having a debate on Fox, either for the Democratic Party or for our candidates.
The DNC should refuse to work with Fox. There’s no need. There are plenty of other media outlets happy to host (and soak up the ratings bonanza). And if Tom Perez is stupid enough to proceed with this ridiculous notion, candidates should find other places to be that night.
