I don’t know if anyone is watching Reliable Sources, but Jill Abramson is making a complete ass of herself — and Brian Stelter is poking holes in every inane excuse she is pitching for why her new book, ironically titled “Merchants of Truth: Inside the News Revolution,” is loaded with plagiarized passages.
Why she thought appearing on the show was a good idea is beyond me. Perhaps she believed that Stelter would go easy on her since he’s a former New York Times reporter who worked at the paper when she was the paper’s executive editor.
After being thoroughly embarrassed by Stelter, she claims that Vice News had it out for her and that’s what brought all of this down on her and her new book. What pathetic lying and excuse-making.
The publisher needs to take back every copy of this book and burn them. Amazing hubris on her part that she thought she could come on the show and excuse her blatant and wholesale plagiarism.
I really abhor plagiarists. And I abhor people who won’t admit their plagiarism even more, especially a plagiarist like Abramson who now teaches at Harvard and is a former executive editor at the Times.
Go away, Jill Abramson. And don’t come back.
