I am catching up on my documentary viewing. I’ve seen some very interesting ones recently. I just watched “The People Speak,” which is based on Howard Zinn's books A People's History of the United States and Voices of a People's History of the United States.
I also recommend “We Were Here,” which revisits the destruction caused by the AIDS epidemic in 1980s San Francisco and the activism it inspired.
“Dear Zachery” is a documentary that will shake you to the very core of your being. If it doesn’t rip your heart out, check your pulse because you might be dead.
I’m looking for more docs to add to my queue. Have you seen anything interesting that you recommend? I’d love to hear about it.
Thanks!
