Is true — CNN Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger has some analysis today about the latest turnover in Trump world (“Only the best people,” comrades!)
Now, you might find it unusual that with a branding opportunity “national emergency” at the Southern border, his administration has no leader at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). But that’s just because you’re not thinking like President Joker Trump!
Borger gets to the method behind the madness (emphasis added):
But the boss operates on his very own chaos theory. It's not new to Trump, but its new to the Oval Office. And it's a disturbing -- even frightening -- way to govern. Trump's version of chaos, according to this longtime associate, "has to do with his level of entertainment of himself. That means doing the opposite of what everyone suggests and then showing that I was right." His instincts, this source says, "are not well thought out or researched," but he has "found this place of doing the remarkable unexpected thing and, at the end of the day, sometimes he gets lucky.”
Remember… this the president who doesn’t play games! He just likes to entertain himself by betting on long shots so he can look, like, so bigly smart later.
There’s more at the link, including many more examples to add to the pile of Trump’s numerous failures as a leader and human being, but I’ll just let Borger have the final word here:
Presidents are supposed to be islands of calm in the middle of chaos. Not this one; he is the chaos.
