By today you’ve probably seen the tweets from Trump which prompted me to make the photoshop and publish my tweet. His two tweets from yesterday struck me as more examples of Trumpian clueless know-it-all narcissism. Again like so many tweets they were all about him. This includes the first sentence in the Notre Dame tweet saying the fire was horrible for him to watch, not for the people in Paris and all of Europe, and Catholics and others around the world.
In the Notre Dame tweet he told professional fire fighters how to best do their job, suggesting idiotically that they “must act quickly!”
Oddly he also tweeted about airplanes at 3:29 AM about six hours before his Notre Dame tweet and also offered his expert advice in a tweet full of his typical braggadocio using the pronoun “I” five times to an aircraft manufacturer, albeit with a sarcastic effort at modesty saying “what the hell do I know?”
Trump’s tweets led me to express myself as follows:
When I made this fire engine photoshop and posted the tweet above I had no idea it would get noticed, yet alone go viral, at least for a nobody like me, and prompt hate tweets in response.
A twitter account user can see the number of several kinds of engagements with a given tweet. Here’s where mine stood as of this writing:
Here’s what each means:
- Impressions: The number of times people saw a tweet
- Total engagements: Times people interacted with the tweet
- Media engagements: No. of clicks on your media (the photo in this case I assume)
- Detail expands: No. who clicked to view details about the tweet
- Likes: times people clicked they liked the tweet
- Profile clicks: Times people look up information about me
- Replies, Link clicks, retweets: Self-explanatory
I got a few positive comments like “He has to be asinine-it’s all he is. His limited vocabulary reveals all there is to see But Obama outshines him again” and “How much you wanna bet Donald Trump has no idea what #conflagration mean.” Most comments were negative and there were some rather nasty ones, here for your entertainment are the negative comments:
- If all you can think of at this time is a way to take a swipe at the President, seek help. Your ilk is exactly why I stay away from Portland unless absolutely necessary.
- Why must we make everything about Donald trump
- He made a comment, among the many things he said about the tragic incident, in which it wasn't the best suggestion. Nothing bad, not wishing ill will.but we see what's important to a tool like you. Always need something to say, huh? We don't appreciate your unsolicited opinion.
- Trump derangement syndrome 101. Not everything that happens needs to involve Trump ffs... 800 years of history lost and all you can do is take a cheap jab at the president. Please act your age.
- (This is from a French Yellow Vest supporter) You’ll be schooled yourself once you look up that they use these planes in #Europe and that they drop ATOMIZED WATER. They have one at Evergreen Air in #Oregon that the #Swamp gov. Of old would not approve. Now get to schoolin before you open that trap on your face again.
- You’ve got serious issues
- Someones mad at a ehite guy Doubt u be mad if it was a black president
- Not as much as we appreciate this unsolicited tweet from you.Go take your daily nap, Hal...#MAGA #TRUMP #AmericaFirst #DrainTheSwamp #NotreDame #NotreDameCathedral
- A GIF that calls me an idiot sandwich
- Get your head fixed Hal. You are a total waste.
- His unsolicited advice is still better than your obvious addiction to rant. Try being positive. Do yoga or something healthy. Ranting exposes a deep dark side.
- Seek help from a shrink, Hal.
- Are you seriously using this event to push your blinkered political agenda? Trump has nothing to do with this you spastic.
- you are mentally sick
- You're an idiot and karma will see you one day.
- Oh! 2400 tweets about Trump, you're a troll. Makes sense now. U need mental help.
- STFU inappropriate right now.
- Shut up you JERK! This is a BIG loss for Catholics and Christians around the world! And all you have to offer is HATE!!
- Only a shrink would say something like this...remember, the POTUS has a little more experience with "building structures" than you will ever have
- A shrink or a rabid liberal! Trump builds things. He is perfect for building a wall, building America back to greatness, and advising the French as to how to put out a fire...during holy week...another church set on fire-the greatest church- in France.
AlterNet published this: “Trump gets slammed for his obtuse advice to firefighters at Notre Dame”
The idea that firefighters “must act quickly” needed to be said was absurd and offensive when it obviously goes without saying that officials in Paris were working to halt the damage as quickly as possible. But his comment that “flying water tankers” would be helpful was somehow even more absurd, showing, once again, that Trump somehow thinks he knows more about how to respond to emergencies than the experts who spend their lives studying the relevant fields.
Just earlier in the day, Trump had cited his experience in “branding” (one of the few areas he genuinely has shown expertise in) in offering Boeing advice to address the problems with the 737 Max. His great idea? “FIX” the problem, add “great features,” and give it a new name. Previously, when discussing wildfire management in California, Trump had said that the problem was insufficient raking (really). And back before he was even a candidate for president in 2014, Trump declared that the U.S. must close the border to countries affected by the Ebola outbreak, despite the fact that no credible public health experts believed such drastic measures were wise.
So Trump’s inserting his opinion where it is not needed is nothing new. But as Glenn Kessler of the Washington Post pointed out, the suggestion of using aerial drops is a common one, which is often viewed by actual firefighters as more about showmanship than actual effectiveness. We should expect nothing else from the reality TV president.
Knowing that far, far more people were reading my Twitter page than I could ever have anticipated I added this tweet:
France has Macron to heal the nation as their leader and rally them to rebuild the iconic cathedral and perhaps help the French right-wing reassess their values. If this happened here, say to St. Patricks in NYC sadly we'd have Trump, hardly a paragon of virtue and a healer.
It is hard to image that so many people were looking at me and my Westies, Mac and Duff.

The first and last tweets are batshit cray-cray! He wishes the Bernie audience wasn’t smiley and nice? And, BTW aasswipoe, the Russia story is BIGGER than Watergate but not for the reason you want it to be. I suggested to my Duty2Warn therapist colleagues that we could have a psychometric rating scale for Trump's tweets. On a scale of 10 how much does each tweet demonstrate malignant narcissism, pre-dementia, stupidity, just plain evil. Read my story “Trump’s CPAC rant: Cornucopia for psychiatric diagnosis” and add a significant number of his tweets to the cornucopia.
