Well, Since I wake up so early… I get to see these.
Morning consult has a tracking poll of 5000 register voters and you can see trens, subgrouped by early states, second choice, and favorability
lets dig in:
Nationally we can say, Biden is still leading with a slight erosion, Bernie is stuck in the same numbers, Mayor Pete still surging with room to grow when we later see name recognition /fav. all the rest are static or slightly down
now, in the early states of IA, NH, SC, and NV
Surprising That Biden is doing Better than Nationally, Bernie worse. Warren jumps to 3rd place and Harris slides way down. Beto and Pete keep their positions.
look at the national trends… Harris had the best post announcement bump, she did start from higher numbers, So it will be interesting to see Mayor Pete's bump. (Yes, I unchecked some names because it was a confusing mess down there, you can go to their site and add them back)
Second choice, this is fun… I mean I really don;t see a trend on our voters lol… the only thing I can see is Biden is the second choice of many… that inserts uncertainty if he really announces…
if you go to the site and hover over each you can see the 3rd and 4th choices
Finally the Fav/unfav/name recognition This is pretty straight forward:
1. Biden is tapped out in Name recognition and has HUGE Fav, same as Bernie.
2. Warren has decent name recognition but oddly higher unfavorables then the previous 2
3. Kamala, Beto and Booker or on the same boat, they still have room to grow.
4. Mayor Pete is still widely unknown but has relatively very good fav number and a lot of room to grow… would love to see this number in a week or two after his announcement.
