What a day, that started with Low Barr’s embarrassing press conference to now having at least some of the report to discuss.
At the time I finished compiling these tweets, 11:30am, Pacific, there were no tweets from either of Sen. Sanders’ Twitter accounts, or Beto O’Rourke’s Twitter account. They may have released a statement after that time, or via a press release. I didn’t include other candidates, just because. Feel free to include them in the comments.
There’s so much to digest from the report, but my big takeaway is that our instincts were right about how damaging the cooperation between russians, wikileaks, and the campaign were for the outcome of the 2016 race. I am sick for Hillary Clinton, but even more so for the incredible damage to our democracy.
I’m also reminded of the important and vital work we all did to elect Democrats to the House of Representatives. Just imagine if we hadn’t taken the majority, and Kevin McCarthy was the Leader, and the Oversight and Intelligence committees were chaired by republicans. I’m not even sure we’d have seen any of the report; that Low Barr/Burr may have been emboldened to hold it back with support from the republican enablers.
