Yes I love Warren and yes I think we should elect a woman.
But consider the case for Biden.
Biden is like a third term of Obama. Which most people would be pretty happy with right now.
He’s not edgy. He’s not liberal. He’s just comfortable.
And as much as I like Warren, she is talking about the wealth tax which I am not even sure if it is constitutional. So I am not sure that she will be able to make $1.5 trillion appear out of thin air by soaking the rich. And if she doesn’t do that, I’m not sure I get that much more from Warren that I don’t get from Biden.
It’s the old debate that we had in 2016, I guess. Except Biden may be a stronger candidate than Hillary.
If Biden runs, just park him in Ohio. Maybe PA and MI. And that’s all you do. Probably its a win right there.
And we won’t be talking about the risky liberals. Biden is a safe known quantity.
And he’ll probably have a woman VP.
Give it some thought. He’s not exciting, and he’s perhaps not your dream candidate. And I know everyone hates the electability argument. As a NPR analyst noted, the electability argument can lead to racism, sexism, Islamophobia. Because we say, I’m not racist, but I’m worried other voters are.
And Biden is not a bad guy. He’ isn’t racist, he isn’t homophobic, etc.
He might be a safe winning candidate.
