Attorney General William Barr is just the latest in a long line of Republicans to torch their credibility in defense of Donald Trump, but he sure is leaving no stone unturned in his effort. During Barr’s appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Lindsey Graham (speaking of Republicans who’ve torched their credibility for Trump) asked him “Did you have a problem with the way Comey handled the Clinton email investigation?”
“Yes, I said so at the time,” Barr responded.
Funny! Because Barr wrote an October 31, 2016 Washington Post op-ed titled ”James Comey did the right thing”, as law professor and former Defense Department lawyer Ryan Goodman points out.
From “James Comey did the right thing” to “I said at the time I had a problem with what he did.” How’s that for a shot and a chaser (of bile and poison)?
