Sen. Kamala Harris always shines during Senate Judiciary hearings, in no small part because of her background as a prosecutor. Her back-and-forth on Wednesday with Trump’s attorney general, William Barr, was a master class in making an immovable corrupt object crack. After the committee hearings ended, reporters caught up with Sen. Harris to ask her for her thoughts on Barr and what had just transpired. She did not waste any words.
Sen. Harris: I believe that what was absolutely enlightening and should be deeply troubling to the entire American public is that he made a decision and didn't review the evidence. No prosecutor worth her salt would make a decision about whether the president of the United States was involved in an obstruction of justice without reviewing the evidence. This attorney general lacks all credibility and has compromised the American public's ability to believe that he is a purveyor of justice.
Reporter: Should he resign?
Sen. Harris: Yes.
That’s a definitive YES, for those of you keeping score at home.
