"The task is to fight for the soul of our country,"
— Kamala Harris
Yesterday we watched Kamala Harris’ cross-examination (interrogation) of A.G. William Barr. By the end of Sen. Harris’ time, she had Barr fumbling, grappling, flustered, and speechless. Harris absolutely decimated Barr with her line of questions. Harris knows how to get straight to the point and ask the right questions. Barr is probably still trying to figure out what hit him.
It’s clear Trump got what he wanted from Barr. Barr Does Not work for the American people, he is Trump’s "cover-up general" and he earned his keep yesterday. You would think that Barr would remember that Nixon's AG went to prison for three years for lying to Congress to protect Nixon. I guess that is a price he Barr is willing to pay.
Trump on Kamala Harris calling for Barr's resignation: "She was probably very nasty."
I would love to see Kamala go up against Trump in the debates. No question about who would win and it would not be Trump. She would have Trump stumbling, gasping, and incoherent. Well, more incoherent than usual. Put simply, she would eviscerate Trump.
We know what hit him!
The next President of the United States, Kamala Harris.
Suggested. Hinted. Inferred.
Knocked. Out!

In saying that Barr “compromised the American public’s ability to believe that he is a purveyor of justice,” Harris pinpointed a very big and glaring problem with him.

The Interviews
For someone who calls the Mueller report his "baby," the Attorney General didn't spend a lot of time looking at its underlying evidence. He failed to tell the American people the truth. It's time for Attorney General Barr to resign.
Kamala Harris: "This Attorney General lacks all credibility and has, I think, compromised the American public's ability to believe that he is a purveyor of justice."Q: "Should he resign?"Kamala Harris: "Yes."
May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM), celebrating the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
The month of May was chosen to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese to the United States on May 7, 1843, and to mark the anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869.
Harris has called for immediate federal investment toward closing the teacher pay gap in her first policy proposal unveiled this year.
Harris discussed her proposal to increase teacher pay ahead of a rally in which thousands of South Carolina teachers are planning to rally at the Statehouse, seeking smaller class sizes, better pay and a guaranteed daily break.
Her policy initiative would give teachers raises around the country to match their state’s living wage, a number she has put at $13,500, which would amount to a 23% average increase in salary.
“We have brilliant students who are studying science, who want to go into an elementary school and teach our babies about the joys and wonders of the world but instead they’re looking at their bills and they make the decision instead to go work for a pharmaceutical company,” she said. “What kind of incentives are we creating? We have got to pay our teachers.”

There are Mrs. Wilsons all across this country, teachers who livestream bedtime stories for their students, who spend their own money to get the supplies they need to teach, and who sacrifice their safety during all-too-common school shootings.

Group Guidelines
The Kamala2020 community group has been created to positively support Senator Kamala Harris, and not to engage in negativity towards other community members or any other Democrats running in the 2020 primaries.
Daily Kos is a huge community and there are fellow members and readers alike who do not share in our support of, or enthusiasm for, Kamala’s campaign — all should be made to feel welcomed here.
What’s not welcomed here is petty bickering over any of our preferred candidates, or personal attacks on fellow Democrats. We’re not responsible for the actions of others who may offend, insult or attempt to sow discord and disunity —
that’s on them.
What we are responsible for are our own words and actions —
that’s 100% on us.
From the deepest part of my heart, I’d like to ask all group members, as well as all those dropping by who support or are interested in Kamala’s historic bid for the nomination, that we not respond to negativity with negativity... though at times over the course of the next year+ it may be increasingly difficult!
Let’s do better than our best and respond with kindness and respect, or hold our peace. I believe we’ve all heard the following wisdom while growing up —
“If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” 🤐
