On the afternoon of January 5, 2005 my mother was being driven, in a snow storm, to where she loved to be.
My mom volunteered at the local hospital, she told family members when their beloved/friend was out of surgery, an where to go to meet up with them, etc.
She was beloved where she volunteered an she loved the work. she missed about a week of work due to having the flu, so the first chance she had she went back to her position. On the way, with my dad driving her in the snowstorm they were in a car accident in which my mom was killed instantly.
At her funeral the service was packed with a huge number of fellow volunteers, doctors, nurses an staff from the hospital.
It has now been 14 years since I lost my mother and not a day goes by when I do not think about her.
Even though I think of Mother’s day as a Hallmark holliday it still makes me think of my momand miss her a lot as she used to celebrate it.
So on Mother’s day I lay low and get epressed and think about good times past.
i wish all of you that are Mothers or who are lucky enough to have a living mother a very happy Mother’s Day.
An for all of you who have lost their mother please know my thoughts, condolences and prayers are with you.
