One, he has not solved our problems with Syria, Iran, and North Korea by carpet bombing those countries with atomic bombs. This was a concern after he publicly asked why do we have thousands of nuclear weapons if we never intend to use them. 125 million people would have been killed -- twice the number of all killed in WW2 -- but obliterating those countries out of existence would end all our problems with them. Trump likes simple ideas like that.
Two, Trump has not ordered ICE to burn alive overnight the 4000+ children and teens held in tents in Texas since they are "illegal immigrants". We know Trump enjoys being cruel so its possible he could someday handle things that way.
Three, none of the national guard posted to DC during demonstrations against Trump have fired live ammunition upon the crowds. China killed 10,000+ that way at Tiananmen Square 30 years ago and the whole population has decided not to publicly protest against the CCP since. Trump would like to have that type of respect from Americans.
Readers who imagine that none of the above are possible are mistaken. Each evil described above is possible. NOTHING in Trump’s behavior rules them out. Each of those evils is far more likely to occur than Trump ever saying about his own behavior in writing, tweeting, or speaking, “I am sorry”.
Trump could have been much, much worse. He may be in the future.
